About Mrs. Mitulski
Hello, and welcome to general music at River Bend Elementary! This is my 10th year teaching and my 8th at River Bend. I am so glad to be here! I feel incredibly blessed to do something I'm passionate about with such amazing students, families, and staff.
I have a BA in Music from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in Indiana and earned my teaching certification plus a Masters in Education from Lindenwood University. I have Orff Schulwerk Level 1 training and recently earned certification in John Feierabend's First Steps in Music and Conversational Solfege approaches. I regularly participate in conferences, workshops and best practice discussions through a number of local, state and national music organizations including the National Association for Music Educators, Missouri Music Educators Association, American Orff Schulwerk Association, St. Louis Orff Schulwerk Association, Organization of American Kodaly Educators, St. Louis Area Kodaly Educators and Feierabend Association for Music Educators.
Outside of teaching, I spend as much time as possible with my husband, Mike, our "kids" who are 19, 20 and 21 years old, and our two dogs. I enjoy listening to all kinds of music, reading, walking, baking, crafting -- and staying in touch with my parents, siblings and extended family who are scattered throughout the upper mid-west.
